Heavy T.O. Comes to Downsview Park

Last weekend the Heavy T.O. Concert came to Downsview Park. We shot the concert on Sunday, with headliner Rob Zombie closing it down in his own (colourful) style.  Evidence above.

Edgefest Returns to Downsview Park

After a hiatus in 2010 Edgefest returned to Downsview Park last weekend.  This is the first DRY Edgefest we have covered, as both the 2008 and 2009 Edgefests were mudfests after experiencing torrential rain. For those of you who attended the 2008 or 2009 festivals, refresh your memory with our coverage HERE. This year the weather was perfect and the bands –  with headliners Rise Against following sets by A Perfect Circle, The Weakerthans, Tokyo Police Club, Arkells, and The Reason – were loud.  Some photos of the bands and the crowds, above.

The Many Faces of Gord Downie – The Tragically Hip Concert – July 1, 2011

There has been some interest in seeing more shots from the Canada Day Tragically Hip Concert at Downsview Park so we thought we would post a few photos of the many (and very animated) faces of lead singer Gord Downie.

Canada Day at Downsview Park

We have been covering Canada Day events at Downsview Park for the past four years and each year they come up with something a little different.  This year the park was host to a concert featuring Buck 65,  Hey Rosetta, Broken Social Scene, Weezer and headliner, The Tragically Hip.  Above are some photos from the day.

The Impromptu Portrait Series – Nitha

This lovely lady named Nitha acted as the MC of an event that we shot at Downsview Park in June.  This was not a planned portrait, rather Nitha happened to be standing near some soft natural light and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to ask her to pose for the camera.
