Jamieson Kerr – The Queen and Beaver

On a section of Elm Street between Yonge and Bay you will find the Queen and Beaver Public House.  The Queen and Beaver has been featured in many of the city’s ‘best of’ lists and received special notice from Toronto Life last year when it’s mascot (seen above) was beaver-napped and held for ransom (!)

Taking it all in stride – though happy to have his beaver back – is Pub owner Jamieson Kerr.  We shot some editorial photos of Jamieson last week and found him to be an extremely accommodating and kind host.  The pub is a true English football pub and features an autographed jersey of none other than Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs.  A visit to the Queen and Beaver website will allow you to view a full schedule of the games that will be broadcast at the pub – and in our opinion it would be hard to find a better place in the city for a football fan to enjoy authentic pub fare and a couple of pints, while watching the beautiful game.
